FIFA 16 , playing online games

Hello

I'm new here and a bit green round the edges so please bear with me, my son (age 12) has just got his first XBox One and is having a problem with FIFA 16.

On his old XBox 360, he could play FIFA 15 against his friends or search for an opponent online. He tried to do this last night on his new console and when he searched for opponents, it said there were none, and when he went to a friend's profile
to send a game request, the "Invite to game" link was greyed out.

I've checked his online settings and I can't see anything there that would prevent him from doing this and yes, he does have a current XBox Live Gold account (or whatever it's called!)

If anyone could help me I would be very, very grateful (in simple English please, no technical terms as I barely even know how to turn the XBox on!!)

No Live Gold after change from Xbox 360 to Xbox One

My son has got Xbox One with Fifa 16 and today we had some problems playing Fifa 16. After a life chat with Xbox his gamertag and profile has been changed from 360 to One. Now he could play Fifa 16 but not online as there is no Live Gold available. How can
I transfer Live Gold from 360 to One? Thanks for helping us!

This could possibly have something to do with the router and the new Xbox, best bet is firstly try resetting your router which could be a cause of online problems and also do a full shutdown on the Xbox One, to do this when the Xbox is turned on hold your
finger on the power button for up to 10 seconds and the Xbox should power down, it will take a little longer than usual to boot back up when you power on but this should clear the Xbox of any hidden bugs or freezes which is also good to know for any future
problems.

Hi Birnenkopf,

It sounds like the issue is because you're combining streaming with playing an online game and something there is conflicting, causing the drop-out.

Does this happen with multiplayer in other games too for you, or is it limited to FIFA 16? What about other online modes in FIFA 16, do they also fail or only FUT presents this issue?

Try to not play too many multiplayer games to test this, as it might negatively impact your disconnection rating within FIFA, but I'd be interested to know if this problem is limited to FUT or other modes and games give the same errors.

You have to be either over 13 or 16 years old to play FIFA online, as far as I am aware. Can't remember exactly which one though, it might have changed from previous versions of FIFA
