Fiber 100mbps connection but 5mbps down with open NAT 6hours to download COD Please Help

Hi guys I just got my xbox one today and after 6 hours to download and install Call of duty I found that even with my ports forward and a open NAT I am only seeing

5 mbps down on the xbox one. with a 140ms

my signal strenth is 100 percent

My internet is verizon fios I have 100Mbps down and 100Mbps up

speed test on my pc shows 98mbps and 28ms but when I choose a test server far away from me in Seatle WA My bandwidth drops to 20mbps and 120ms

Is this normal ? will it affect game play ? I just think something is wrong here but i cant figure out what .

    Thanks !

    :)

    Random Disconnects?

I've been having the same problem the last couple of days.

Random disconnects to parties, xbox live. Losing connection to servers and even EA.

It is starting to annoy me. Opend my NAT, all ports I need to open.

Even tested my connection; 12mbps down/5mbps up with a 9ms ping.

Your Internet is fine. The 140 ms is on MS Server and you don't know where it is.

For a faster download you should now how the xbox live network works.

It delivers the content (downloads) over akami Servers. Your DNS Server is responisble wher you connect.

I would try to use an alternate DNS Server for your xbox.

The best would be openDNS or google DNS. If open DNS has Servers in your country I would use them instead of google. You can set it in Network Settings for your xbox so only your xbox uses the new DNS Servers.

    208.67.220.220

    www.opendns.com/.../opendns-ip-addresses

    www.opendns.com/data-center-locations

Since I changed to open DNS all things on my xbox one are much faster - also the Dahboard (I don't know why....)

Xbox One X not downloading at full speed.

I had CoD running in the background but not actually playing it. I tried closing it down and it's now downloading at around 100Mbps (it does fluctuate a bit though). Wouldn't have expected the download speeds to drop so much with a game open.

Slow download speeds on the Xbox app and Console

1Gbps is very possible. I have that and it’s due to a fiber optic connection. A lot is ISPs have them, or are upgrading their infrastructure to support fiber. The slowest speed my ISP now offers is 100Mbps and max is 1 gig.

Xbox Games downloading at very slow speed.

    Hi Skywalker,

    thanks for the reply.

I am trying to download the new COD and it could be a server issue... On my end I have carried out speed tests on my phone, laptop and Xbox and they are all reporting the download speeds of up to 50Mbps. yet my download speed in 'games and apps' for the
COD game has not reached over 5Mbps as of me last checking and is dropping to as low as 500Kbps.

    The NAT is also open..
