FH3 or F7?

The AI is shocking.

It's meant to be this Drivatar thing but it is some of the worst AI i've ever encountered.

They are programmed to take the racing line no matter what & will purposely ram you off the track in order to take it.they will slam the brakes on if you are behind them on a straight,i race with simulation damage on so when they do any of this it's
race over.There is the flashback system but I refuse to use that & have it turned off.

It's like racing online with randoms but in single player.

I thought it was just me due to the fact I've been playing F1 2017 where the AI is so good but it isn't.I've got friends who,like me,have played every Forza since the og xbox & they are all saying the same thing.

After just 2 championships I was getting so frustrated I had to stop playing.

Been playing racing games for a long long time & used to race for real so i'm no slouch when it comes to racing games & I love Forza but this one is a real step backwards.

The whole menu system is cumbersome & then of course there's loot boxes & the completely pointless driver outfits.

It has one new circuit although a couple of the good ones missing from Forza 5 & 6 are back but the whole thing stinks of shiny graphics over gameplay.

I'm sure it will look stunning in 4k but like I've always said,fancy graphics do not make a game good.

I'm going to stick with it if I can to see if it improves but i'm not holding my breath.Such a let down.

So glad I won my copy.

 

One thing I felt they did really well in F6 was how it felt running into water puddles - clearly harder to run in hard rain and you feel a change in direction when doing that.

But sadly AI run as comfortably and you quickly become after. I usually keep up close to AI until I make a mistake, but in hard rain I quickly loose contact with group.

I have not checked leaderboard after what times they finish on, if longer than at nice weather conditions though - so not scientific investigation.

Or there are some other tyres I should have selected - that is also possible.

But having weather conditions you really expect also AI to be affected.

In Dirt 2 I feel AI was really well made, at least in RX events. Sometimes AI make mistakes and crash or stop etc.

And the funny remarks and vengence you get forcing a contestant AI to a stop and a couple of turns later or next lap you get ran into.

Devs really spent a good amount on time doing AI realistic. I just love that game.

GT5 was a bit strange, because you could easily win races just upgrading your car - and competing AI was outrun at first turn, kind of.

So they kept AI a same level. But did not run on hardest level then - this was just shortly after I got my first console, a PS3.

 

I've had to lower the AI difficulty to Highly skilled just to tolerate it but now i'm just romping off in the distance & winning by miles so it's no fun & gets boring.

Think i'm going back to F1 lol

 

Bad AI sucks. I’m definitely going with FH3.
