FH3 or F7?

So I’m not sure which to get.

What do you guys prefer? Which has better graphics, gameplay and content? Which is more fun?

I’m thinking FH3 because you can go off road. Also, I skipped F6 because I was let down by F5. It felt really shallow in regards to tracks available, but the gameplay was superb. I know F7 has a lot of cars, but what about tracks?

I’d say FH3 definitely looks more fun and it’s also getting the 4K upgrade.

FH3 Warthog code redeemed, can't find content

Hi! I redeemed my Warthog code for FH3 just fine a week or so ago when it came in. The other day I was moving my Forza Horizon 3 install from my internal drive to an external drive, and the Warthog content was showing up as a separate item. After I moved
my FH3 content, the Warthog content wasn't showing up on the internal or external drive.

I played a bit of FH3 last night and don't see the Warthog anywhere. I went to Games & Apps > Manage Game and FH3, the VIP pass, and bonus car passes are installed, but the Warthog content isn't. It doesn't show up in ready to install either...

In short, where do I find/how do I get my Warthog for FH3?

Favorite Car In Forza

In FH2 it was the Fast and Furious Charger. In FH3 is was probably the Warthog, or the Hotwheels Hot Rod.

 

I like FH3 cause we don't drive on some messed up side of the road like the Americans.... (UK, NZ, Australia drive on the left. Reason why we're called commonwealth countries)... graphics are good in it, I like racing and ramming the trams and the helicopter.
And I like that crazy sky wheels kind of DLC (the latest expansion/DLC you have to pay for) they have.

However F7 will be a new game. FH3 is no longer a new game. F7 will likely have playground multiplayer playlists like F6 and F5, like virus tag. I remember F4 on Xbox 360 have a soccer multiplayer playlist which was really fun. I
used to have F5 but sold it and replaced it with F6 which I pretty much never play anymore.

 

The reason we drive on the left is due to world war 2,nothing to do with being in the commonwealth.

Anyway,Don't let Forza 5 sour your judgement of the Forza games,that was rushed for the xbox one release hence the lack of content at launch.

Forza 7 has quite a few tracks but they are the same old tracks they've had in every other Forza,although the excellent Suzuka & Maple Valley are back in Forza 7.

If you like proper racing on race tracks then Forza 7 is the one for you.

If you like street racing & generally messing around whenever you want or just driving off & exploring the FH3 is the game to have.

Personally I prefer the Forza games.I love motorsport,i spent over 20 years working in motorsport both on & off the track,so prefer proper circuit racing.

FH3 is a lot of fun,especially with some mates but the map isn't as big as they made out & it can get very repetitive at times.It claims to have X amount of events but in reality you are doing the same events more than once.

 

Isn't Forza Motorsport more like sim and Horizon arcade like driving.

If you can't decide - get both.

I tend to buy games that fit the mood what I want to do a single day in between.

But when racing closer to sims are what I go back to all the time - you actually learn something playing them.

Arcade is more like low threshold to learn kind of thing.

So far I just getting my BMW M3 tuned to be drivable in F6. And experimenting with tyre pressure not to loose tracktion when they get hot.

Other days I just start my old Dirt 2 on 360 and run a couple of RX events.

Another day adventure and puzzles like Adam's Venture Origin.

I need games for every mood.

 

Forza is more arcade than sim.

It's kind of in the middle of arcade & sim but leans more towards arcade.

Horizon sways even more to the arcade side of things.

 

I think I’ll get FH3 because I like the arcady feel more.

I think Forza aims for being sim.

How I discovered that I can hardly touch throttle at the end of the race if tyre pressure to too high to start with, you go off the track.

Tyre wear but also higher pressure and you loose tracktion.

All these settings you need to learn to tweak or you cannot even get one race without ending out of bounds.

And things you do tweak are felt as you drive - so I think more sim than arcade.

Before released on console Assetto Corsa was really praised among PC gamers. But looking at demos of console version it was rather horrible - and motor sounds were just pitching same sound down when car starts - not how a real engine sounds at low rpm etc.
Motor sound is big part of how a racing game feels. And AC were quickly dropping in price since sales did not go that well. Been looking for a lot of the older games around £10-15 and it's there - and just a year old. I was actually planning to get PS4 Pro
and AC - but dropped idea.

But to this day the most praise is probably the Richard Burns Rally for being sim. A lot on yotube on that one.

 

That sounds like me. That's why I like FH3. It feels much more closer to home, actually home since I qualify for Australian residency. And you can mess around.

Forza 6/7 focus more on racing. I will sell my F6 disc copy (since I hardly play it) and get the F7 copy. It still will have playground playlists for multiplayer like 5/6 incl. virus tag and ramming and hide and seek. It would be great if they had a soccer
playlist like they have for Forza 4 on 360. Not many games have it so that you drive on the left side of the road.

 

The football thing was due to the team up with Top Gear.Was a good laugh though & should be bought back.

Still have my copy of Richard Burns Rally.Boy was that game hard but so satisfying when you got it right.

 

Don't know if you've chosen yet mate but after playing Forza 7 I would not recommend it.

The AI is shockingly bad,the car handling & feel is all wrong.

It's possibly the worst Forza in the series.

I was right,it's sacrificed great gameplay for fancy graphics which is a real shame.

I've only played a couple of hours & some of this might be down to the fact I've been playing a lot of F1 2017 but Forza 7 just isn't fun,it's more frustrating than anything else.

 

We'll have to get use to.

Now,1st party devs are making multiplatforms games,we can't expect the same level of quality and optimisation that we were used to have when Xbox games were exclusives.

But Forza 7 isn't that bad,just "normal".

 

As soon as Forza 5 came out, I was hyped about it for a week, then pretty much never played it. The same with Forza 6. I probably won't be getting Forza 7, at least not day one. I've already sold my Forza 5 copy and may look into doing the same for 6. Forza
Horizon is better for me. I have the second version and the only thing I liked about it is racing the jets and train. FH3 is good as the UK/Australia/NZ drive on the left side of the road and the game doesn't look so foreign or American. And you get to mess
around and venture out and they have that hot wheels DLC. I will definitely get the X November 7 and I have good news I have that day completely free.

Anyway there's other games I want to play on the X on November 7. Final Fantasy XV which will be Xbox One X Enhanced. And Minecraft super duper graphics.

Microsoft is really reacting to the Console Wars. The competition has been about the past 7 years implying we have the weaker specs. So can't blame them for placing a lot of emphasis on graphics, resolution, visual fidelity, textures, and 4k. If the PS4
Pro can play games natively in 4k, so much more so can the X which is some 40% more powerful than the PS4 Pro. The X has more GPU cores, faster GPU cores, a lot higher bandwidth of 326GB/s, and 12GB GDDR5 not just 8. It also has faster GDDR5 too with a bandwidth
of 326GB/s.

 

So F7 is all about looks and number of exclusive cars - this is sad.

But code for car behavior - isn't it the same developers as other forza - odd if it suddenly is bad.

Anyway, I have just learned some tuning in F6 and a lot more to learn.

What you need to look for is many proper reviews on youtube - that also mention and test various career modes and similar - if there is something that encourage gaming.

Forza is too much about "finish third to continue"-thingy - which does not encourage gaming in my view.

When starting a racing game you want to even finish last and still continue - not doing the same race maybe 20 times before you continue.

You are new to the game as well as the car behavior, which also is worse setup than any standard car, and you don't want tp force a brick wall to continue.

I started F6 - and it was this mandatory first three event race. I was stuck there and put it away for many months - and then a patch next time I started and this was removed.

So this was a culprit for more than me it seems.

I mean cars were so horribly set up - tiny wobble and an oversteer nothing like even a Trabant car would do.

I tried maximize BMW M3 - and it was almost impossible to run until you increased stabilizers from about 18 to 26. Then you were starting to handle a slide and correct car.

So many things in a race game need to encourage and making it fun. How everything is put together.
