Feeling Unjust About A Console Ban

Hi. I am a member of a prestigious gaming community that was recruiting for BO2. and I found a person that was interested in joining. I followed the communities protocol in recruiting which involves reading a 10 Rule Code of Conduct and changing account
settings to prevent poaching. And when I got to the account settings part he felt un-comfortable because he thought I was trying to take his account when I told him that he needed to change those settings (Friends list and Profile Viewing) he left the party
and reported me. I met this person about 2 weeks or so ago and I got console banned about a couple hours or so ago when I did nothing wrong.

Unjust ban

Sorry, but support gave you incorrect information. The enforcement team do not sue the forums. If they upheld their decision, there is nothing else you can do. It doesn't matter if your friend filed complaints as a prank or not. If the enforcement team determined
you did something to violate the code of conduct, they would take action.

 

Unjust Console Ban of TheXenarus

My main account TheXenarus has gotten banned on 7/27/13 for Tampering With the Console/Abusing the Report System. Now, on 7/25/13 I did open my Console so that I could clean it out because it had been sitting in my step-dads auto-body shop for some weeks
while I was on vacation and had gotten dusty and I noticed the lack of performance. I also never report anyone unless I see they are absolutely breaking the rules.

You'll want to post here:
forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx as that is the only place the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team (XBLPET) will see or respond to any questions you have regarding Enforcement Actions taken against you.

 

I've posted there and a moderator hasn't approved It.

 

Those forums are not used anymore.

They stopped using them in August 2015.

You say you were changing the settings of this persons account/profile which is a strict violation of the CoC/ToU.

If this is something your clan do on a regular basis then you should stop straight away.

Console bans are permanent & never overturned.

 

Just to add my 2 cents for what it's worth it's always best to check out the relevant section on Xbox.com regarding device suspensions.

I would hazard a guess that in your case this section would come into force.

Devices can be banned from Xbox Live for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:

◦Online fraud, such as phishing, account theft, or other attempts to defraud Microsoft or other players

A little harsh you may say as you weren't physically there accessing the other persons account, however I can see why asking someone to change there account/privacy settings would be seen as stated in the line above.

Of course the above is just a guess as only the Policy Enforcement Team know the exact reason for the suspension.
