Feeling duped again....

if i knew then, what i know now, i'd still buy it day one, rough start with the party chat issues and whatnot, but otherwise i've had a very positive experience.

 

This isn't reserved just for consoles, but ALL electronics. The TV I have in my basement cost me $2,000 when I bought it 2 years ago... it probably costs half of that now. iPhones are like $500 for day one purchasers... I waited and got mine for $200 a
year after the model was released. Remember how much Blu Ray players were when they first came out? You can get one now for 50 bucks.

 

@Egg...so so true. My Samsung cost about the same when it was new. I can get the same size now, with better features for a third of the cost.

I remember spending 200 dollars on my first cd player and it was just a small sony portable one.

 

Here in Europe we got a free game at launch. I got Forza 5 for free.

 

I would not change a thing, I pre-ordered my Xbox One immediately after E3 2013. And purchased my Xbox One "Day One Edition" in line at midnight. That experience ALONE is worth well more than any free game.

You should be happy, Xbox is offering these incentives to the rest of the community. I know I am, and hope anyone who takes advantage of this is happy.

 

I bought a new truck in 2005 and a 2006 came out the next year and theres been a new and better one every year since then so now I really feel duped so I guess I need to call them and tell them I wont ever buy a new one in the same year again. Or I guess
I will just get my crying towel back from paladinforone.

@Paladin....If you have not been around the forums, the attack dogs come out in force if you give your opinion of how you feel and it is not in line with theirs. Plain and simple.

 

So we are not allowed to feel the way we do? I did see plenty of examples people gave but never did see an attack until the last 2 posts.

 

A clever ploy, disguising the thread by omitting 'loyal fan since...' and 'slapped in the face'. Looks like most are still seeing through it though.

It's astounding how people seem to have such a focus on, and appreciation of, a good value when it comes to the deals that are now available... yet when it comes to having had the console for months and having all that gaming time, enjoyment and experience... that seems
to get zero value or appreciation in comparison. Sure would be nice to have so much spare time for gaming that it actually didn't have much worth. I guess I'd feel a little ripped off too, if all that time I've had to enjoy my X1 and all that gaming on it
held such little value.

@PALADINforONE, there is no need for name calling, if you were expecting to have everyone jump on the bandwagon with you, then you came to the wrong forum. few years ago i bought a Dell laptop, and a month later they were offering the same model $200 cheaper
and free memory upgrade, that's life.

just think of it as gaining 50 exp points in life, and now perhaps you'll be more cautious with your future purchases.

 

i've never understood the rage over this. one week, heck one month sure. but how can anyone possibly be mad at something that applies to just about every single form of electronic device ever. there are ALWAYS changes to prices, deals etc after a device
has launched.

i don't see the reasoning behind being sour about it.
