To remove that gamertag that is connected to your 'main' email (Microsoft Account), just change the connected gamertag connected to a new Microsoft account.

So first free up your 'correct' email address by moving the connected gamertag to a new Microsoft Account

and after that you should be able to change the 'email' (Microsoft Account) for your main gamertag to your 'correct' email address (Microsoft Account)

Disconnecting your microsoft account from your pc account, will allow you to connect via a different microsoft account for each app.

You could also connect the microsoft account with your xbox live account to the pc account.

If you redeemed in your account, his Epic Account has to be linked to your Microsoft account.

We can only link one Microsoft Account to one Epic Account.

We can't check this on the Xbox platform, it is done on the Epic webpage.

Like I said originally, I'm aware that once you link a microsoft account it is permanently linked to that playstation account. There has never been a microsoft account connected to my playstation account. There has actually never been a microsoft account connected at all to the playstation I'm using.
