    February Update Problem

Tried to turn on my console this morning and my Xbox was stuck in what appeared to be a boot loop, in that it would make a whirring noise to start up and then whir down again, rinse repeat. Thinking it was updating I left it for an hour and nothing had
changed, still whirring to try and start, then nothing over and over. It wasn't even recognized as a source input on the TV.

Called technical support, and went through some steps with them to get it back and working again. Had a couple of hours on BF4 and turned it off. I have Instant On selected so just powered down with the voice command as normal.

A few minutes later the Xbox turned itself off, then back on and is now stuck in the same "boot loop"! I'm guessing it powered down and back on again as it was applying the update but it seems that update is causing the issue.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

    :)

  2. Kinect sends multiple (duplicate) digits to my Verizon box when changing channels.

The February update will be coming out very soon. Can you guys please check after that update? I believe we've fixed the problem.

    Thanks!

Have your tried holding the Xbox One Button on the console (Shiny Xbox one) in until the console turns off. See it that helps.

  6. Master Boot holding XBox button and Eject Button together for 10 seconds. Wait for beep. This will load 800 x 600 default screen size but should allow you menu access to recify things

Unfortunately, I spent most of the weekend on the phone to support trying all manner of things, offline updates, factory resets via usb, with nothing working. So just like my 360 many years ago, I've had to send it back for a replacement.

I've been hunting the internet/forums and to my amazement, I seem to be the only one with this issue!

Means a few days without my console which is annoying but at least its getting sorted.

    Problem with february system update

    Hi,

In a situation like this, it would best to try reseting you console to factory defaults. When the Xbox enters the recovery screen, you should see the option at the bottom to perform a factory reset. When you do this, you should be prompt for the option to
keep your games & apps installed.

Also, I would advise that in the future, you post in the Xbox Preview forums so they proper teams can take a look: Xbox One Preview

Let us know how it goes!
