February Update now Xbox One controller issues

Well my controller was absolutely fine until the latest updates a few days ago. Within 10 minutes of updating the console and controller the issues started.

Whilst playing Dying Light the controller kept disconnecting me from the game then the issues somehow resolved itself.

Over the last couple of days it has been disconecting and taking a long time to connect with my console then today it just stopped working and now will not connect with the Xbox One. The only way to use the controller is via USB cable but the rumble is no
longer working when I test it within the settings-devices-controller-rumble.

I have tried contacting customer support but the site is a nightmare the pages fail to load or have errors etc. I spoke to someone on support but alas out of warranty so not interested.

It would appear I am not the only one having this issue.

How do we update the controller? NO USB Cable comes with Xbox One.

There is more sites, the Titanfall controller update was part of February Xbox one update. An the Titanfall update is done by sync your controller with the Xbox, over air, no cable needed.

Hi there. I don't know if it will help your issue, but have you tried a hard reset of your console? And if so, have you tried unplugging it? These 2 methods seem to fix many issues with the console. If you need to know how, hold the Xbox logo on the front
of your console for 10 seconds until it completely powers down. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Also, just to be safe try different batteries in the controller.

 

Thanks for trying to help Ken but I tried all of the steps on the help website and all the other obvious ones.

I am certain that this has been caused by the latest updates it is just too much of a coincidence.

I have ordered another controller for the extortionate price of 45 pounds.

 

Well suprisingly the controller is now connecting again but still drops the connection regularly this has got to be update related.

It would seem others are having similar issues.

I will update further once my new controller arrives and after more testing. Hopefully it might help others.
