Feb 3, 4 daily challenges crashing

Starling a new thread as requested by mods. As others have indicated I am having problems with certain daily challenges for 3 and 4 February. Here are the requested specs on my device:

Windows RT version 6.3 build 9600

Microsoft Surface 2

Problem began 3 February

This is not happening with any other games that I am noticing

Every time I attempt to open the third daily challenge for 3 Feb (classic tiles) and the first puzzle for 4 Feb (medium lightning tiles) my app freezes and sends my computer back to the start screen. Attempts to re-enter the app result in a complete restart
of the application. I have restarted my device as well as the app. This seems to be a problem for many others based on the posts here, I'm just adding mine to the lot.

Mahjong

Same problem as others! Mahjong crashes on Feb 3 easy daily challenge on medium game and on Feb. 4.

 

2014-02-03 Classic daily challenge

Before applying the update: one more corrupted challenge - the Feb 7 3-star Classic, so in total 4 crashing challenges now.

Will see if the update fix them.

 

I'm having the same problems with the puzzles mentioned (3rd feb., Classic tiles and 4th feb., lightning tiles).

Exactly the same happens on Windows 8.1 (PC Version).

Identical issues for me on both a Surface 2 (RT) and a home built desktop PC running Windows 8.1.

 

I am having the exact same problem. Windows 8.1 PC. All updates are current. No problem before February 3rd and no problem with the other games (Minesweeper or Solitaire Collection). I don't want to uninstall and lose my progress.

 

WeakliestPine57, you won't lose your progress by uninstalling -- it's saved to your Xbox Live account. I routinely play cross-devices (Surface to PC -- it updates my game progress as soon as it logs me into Xbox Live).

As far as I can tell, uninstalling & re-installing does not fix the problem. I haven't skipped an MS Mahjong challenge since I started playing early last year, so I hope this doesn't end up ruining my streak.

Me too! Never had a problem until Feb 3, 2014 and it was only one out of the three daily challenges for Microsoft Mahjong and it happened again today Feb 4 , 2014.

 

me too.. same issues each day Feb 3rd and 4th can only complete 2 of the three daily challenges. the other two will not open.

Same issue here, with one of the three daily challenges for Feb 3rd and 4th. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, as it helped with other apps, but it didn't solve this issue.
