    Feb 25 update breaks external HDD


    I have a fantom HDD and was on the omega preview before and once I got the preview I was no longer able to move or install games to my external HDD. I unenrolled and reset my Xbox one back to normal and then everything worked. Now on feb 25 my console got updated again and same problem. I do not know why this is not coming up on google. Is no one else experiencing this issue ? Is there a fix at all ? I re enrolled in the previews but there’s no updates. Now I am stuck with a full internal HDD again and a non functional external HDD. Help ?

    External Storage keeps disconnecting

    Have you tried a hard reset since the latest (Feb) update? If not try this now it has helped some. Completely disconnect the external HDD from the console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug
    the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console (DO NOT connect the external drive yet). Once it is back up and operational connect the external HDD and test for results. Let us know. Good

    Quick question... Since xbox one games need to be downloaded, 500gb will go by fast

    I am currently at 25 games and 98.9% capacity. Microsoft needs to get the external hdd support out sooon!!

    Replacing Hard Drive

    Hi There,

    If you are referring to external HDD,
    see here.

    For internal HDD, proceed with caution, this will break any warranty you may have, it is not recommended, i suggest youtube videos for DIY procedures.

    By the time the internal HDD is filled, the system update to support external HDDs should be out.
