    Feb 2020 update messed up my xbox


    The Feb 2020 update messed up my xbox one. I have to start it up in energy saving mode in order for any game to work and I can't switch to a different game unless I shut down the console first. I've tried the unplugging and waiting 30 seconds and changed
    a couple settings and anything else I could think of but no luck. Anyone else have this problem or know what I can do to fix it?

    Hello RogerGood1,

    I didn't had any issues with the new update.

    Please, could you try clearing your Xbox One caché first to see if that solves your issue?

    1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the Xbox until it turns off completely.
    2. Unplug the power brick from the back of the Xbox. Press and hold the power button on the Xbox several times to expel any remaining power and clear the cache.
    3. Plug in the power brick.
    4. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.
    5. Turn the Xbox back on as you would normally.

    Feb 2020 update messed up my xbox

    I do not have the power brick on my xbox one. It has the internal power and just a cord. But I unplugged it from the console and followed the rest of the steps and it's working the way it should now. I even changed the settings back to quick start and
    it's letting me get into games and even switching to different ones. Thank you for your help

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that your Xbox One is not able to switch between games after the most recent update. The troubleshooting step that schnurren recommend is a great option to try in this scenario. Is your console
    enrolled in the
    Xbox Insider Program    ? If the power cycle does not resolve the issue, we recommend performing

    a soft factory reset    . This type of factory reset will keep all games and applications installed, but it will remove all the profiles from the console. Therefore, the email address and password of those accounts must be known before this step is taken. Be
