Feature Request - Separate Text n Voice permissions

Discus and support Feature Request - Separate Text n Voice permissions in XBoX Rewards & Social to solve the problem; I get over 10-20 spam texts a week. This is beyond annoying.     Feature Request - Separate Text n Voice permissions


    I get over 10-20 spam texts a week. This is beyond annoying. I want to shut down my text unless it’s a friend.

    If I try to do this it lumps in voice as well. Did you even ask the gamers why this doesn’t make any sense? We do need voice to be able to meet and add new friends when we meet them in games like pubg, cod , bf etc.

    Please allow voice and text communication to have their own permissions.

    I know I’m not the only person that wants this.

    how come you can't turn voice volume to zero on the dash for all games?

    ... thanks for replies, you can turn voice and text communication off in privacy settings but only both or neither. I would still like to send and receive text messages so would need separate settings for voice and text. Might try the private party for one
    idea.

    Interesting...I wasn't aware that was added as a feature. I checked the Notification settings and don't see anything that might be useful in stopping text messages from appearing in the Voice Overlay area. I turned off the Party notifications and my text
    replies were still displayed in the Voice Overlay area.

    I will file a Report via my Xbox Insiders app and submit your feedback requesting an option to exclude the chat log from the Voice Overlay section.

    On the dashboard, go to Settings -> Privacy -> and then make sure your "Communicate with voice and text" and "Communicate with video" permissions are set to "Allow" (or friends)

    And by Reset permissions do you mean you've gone to settings, privacy and online safety and selected adult or custom and verified communicate with voice and text was set to everyone?
