Discus and support Feature Request - Complete Shutdown Power option in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; Please add another power option to the xbox alongside the existing ones.     Feature Request - Complete Shutdown Power option


    Please add another power option to the xbox alongside the existing ones. When this power option is active, when the console is shutdown, it should be shutdown completely. Shouldn't be able to update or anything, should use no power. Reason I ask for this is, cause currently when I select the option to shutdown console, after awhile I can hear the fan keeps going, so it's not completely shutdown. So please add this as a power option

    Xbox One turns on automatically every time I receive a message. More details inside!

    You could set the option for the console to shutdown after an hour and also have background downloads enabled. This will mean the console will power off partially, still showing the white light on the power unit but continue to download the requested file
    until fully complete. Once downloaded the console will then shutdown fully showing the orange light on the power unit.

    When the console is completely powered off, Check the ventilation holes on the sides of the console for dust accumulation and clean them. I vacuum clean mine.

    The sudden shutdown is a safety feature designed to limit damage to the console.

    Excessive fan noise is an indication of overheating.

    I have the same problem.

    A nice workaround would be to have the option to change the behavior of the current shutdown without changing the default value.

    With that feature, i will be able to put my console in Instant-On power mode during the day and Energy-saving power mode during the night to avoid the noise.

    The only way I've found to remedy this issues is to disable all features in the "Energy Savings" settings <Settings><Power & StartUp>. By having the X1 completely turn off on shutdown releases all memory on a new start up.
