FCC to increase broadband speed minimum

Now, for many of you, this won't make a lick of difference - but it does for me. Right now, due to the area that I live in and the only provider available to me (AT&T), I can only get a maximum of 6 mbps down and 1 mbps up - this is something I've mentioned
several times in the past. Well, now, thanks to the FCC, it looks like the minimum requirement here in the U.S. is about to go up: from 4 down and 1 up to 10 down and 1 up. Obviously, this means that my Internet speeds are about to get better, and I'm happy
despite the fact that it is rather minimal, something is being done about it (I think it's a step in the right direction), as my own hands are tied unless I move somewhere else (which simply isn't feasible at the moment). This potentially means more fun, less
lag, and fewer drops while playing games on Xbox Live.

Xbox one broadband requirements

There is no minimum broadband requirements for Xbox One. Microsoft is not that cruel. I live in a city and our household has ADSL2 broadband. Tested my speed and its usually between 7.9 and 8.9MB/sec download and 0.8MB/sec upload. Still... that IS still
classed as Broadband speed and is much better than Dial-Up speeds. I tried downloading a 2 minute Youtube simple video once at dial up speeds, took about 90 minutes. Some features may have like a recommended minimum broadband speed. Not all of us have parents
families or such with ultra fast fibre optic broadband speeds, which ISP's charge more for than normal ADSL broadband speeds.

On top of what ElSock said what is your Broadband speed? The minimum recommended speed for xbl is I believe about 4mbps

 

that is a requirement for companies receiving subsidies from the government, my company was going to get some of that government money, but then realized how many asterisks there were and backed out.

and that is a small amount of time to complete such an undertaking. but hope it works outs in your favor.
