FC 24 - Multiplayer Online

Hello,

I recently bought the Ultimate edition of FC 24 for my Xbox One X. My friend also bought the game but the standard version for his Xbox Series X. We were excited to start playing each other last night when he was eligible to start gaming. However, after checking our game settings and seeing Cross Platform was marked yes and us going to Online Friendlies AND adding each other on the RT button friend's thing, we were not able to select each other's names.

The issue we thought was that I was appearing offline. I updated my Xbox Status to be online and my RT button status to be online as well. Still showed that I was offline, therefore, hard reset my xbox as that was one of the recommenations we saw on some forums. Once I did that, I was finally showing online on his account. We went back to Online Friendlies and it showed I was Online now. Again, we weren't able to select each other.

We did see some folks saying that Xbox One and Series X players can't play with each other... I really haven't gamed online that much since the the Series X/S came out so I definetly feel like a boomer for that.

Can someone verify what the issue could be? Is it as the forums we had read described? Will also be asking Xbox support if they have an email address.

The problem is that even with the same console the game doesn't find my friend even though he is online.

Investigating a bit further, I found that in EA SPORTS FC 24, you can only play with other players from the same generation. This means that if your friend has the game version for Xbox Series, he can only play with people who have Xbox Series, PS5, or PC. If you have the game for Xbox One, you can only play with players on Xbox One and PS4.

Online multiplayer games on Xbox consoles require Game Pass Core or Ultimate to access the multiplayer modes.

This is clearly stated on the game's store page where it says "Online multiplayer on console requires Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass Core (sold separately)."

Hi Dorukhan,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues with the colors of your Xbox when playing FC 24.

If the rest of your games works normally in terms of color accuracy, you might have adjusted the color blindness settings of FC 24.

In FC 24, go to Settings> Accessibility > Color Blindness and set it to default.
