Favourite Moments in Gaming (2018)

As we're approaching the end of the year, I thought I'd start a little discussion about games in 2018. What have been some of your favourite moments from games in 2018? Was there a particular part of a story that you loved? A game that resonated with you
this year? Do you have some memorable stories from playing online with friends and/or strangers?

What is you favorite Halo game or moment?

Favourite game would be Halo 3. Favourite moment i can't remember, my memory is terrible and it's been so long since i played the game.

 

Less pc mobas more console mobas.

"Titanfall" is my favourite MOBAS at the moment.

 

State of decay 2 and Sea of thieves were my favourite so much fun and new people I met.

 

Sea of Thieves has been home to a large number of my favourite moments from this year (and last year too, thanks to the Closed Alpha/Beta). Had so many wonderful and exciting voyages.

 

So many memories. Started playing online games more this year. Met a great bunch of gamers online that i have never met in real life except for one.

Started a new multiplayer game that gets streamed every sunday with a Xbox MVP, me showing them how to play this tipe of game as they never played any in this genre. Farming simulator 19.

So many laughs and fun with the guys on party chat. Was a good year for me in gaming.

 

I know I have a love/hate relationship with Destiny 2, but I loved being right about the entire story for Forsaken, and all my friends hating me for it after we were done with everything.

 

Sell me on Farming Simulator, why should I check it out? I've always been kinda curious about those games.

 

They have changed alot of the things that can be done in the game over the years.

They redisgned the graphics engine. Have a huge modding community which gives you extra maps, vehichles and equipment. Making it even more fun.

Its a relaxing game, no rage quitting or swearing.

Gives you an idea of what the farming industry is all about.

Best is to check out some videos on youtube to see the gameplay, as most people wont be into that tipe of games.

 

I pick Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 4 for the funniest games for me this year, playing online with friends make me laugh every day

 

I picked up Xbox One X in Sep'18 and I am enjoying Halo MCC with Gamepass. I had played Halo 1 and Halo 2 way back on my PC. Other is Gear of War Series, I completed Gears of War 4 on PC and now I was able to complete the series via Gamepass.

 

I might give it a go if it hits Game Pass at some point, it sounds like it could be a good "podcast game". Astroneer is filling that slot for me, I can just put a podcast on and just relax and play.

 

Sea of Thieves certainly played an important role in my 2018. I was waiting for this game since the first trailer and I had a lot of fun, alone or with my friend. In addition to this I have to mentions RDR 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider...I really loved
them!

 

Forza Horizon 4. That title screen and music..tingles down my spine! As a brit it was so exciting to have forza hit the UK too

Farcry 5. More Farcry I know, however, for me I found it to be far better then 4 which never really pulled me in and easily up there with 3 (although Vaas is still king of villains). Not sure on the DLC though.

Late to the party but started Diablo 3. It's mindless but really fun. Started yesterday and clocked 7 hours straight without noticing. Necromancer class is a bit easy but exploding corpse's and charging minions about is yet to get old.

There are many others but frankly it's been a great year overall. Picked up a X which has helped coz man do some games look gorgeous.

The only disappointing part of this year is still no Titanfall 3 announcement. :/ Do it. DO IT.

 

Even though the game isn't from this year, my best moments were from AC: Origins. I was late to the party with that game but I loved it.
