Favorite Friends Online Pop still not fixed?

Latest update for the XO still doesn't address the fact that friends coming online are not shown in a pop up!

What the hell is wrong with the team working this gig? The most important thing socially is to know your friends have come online, not to faff about checking feeds or apps or god knows what else, even if it it is "just a button press away"!

The whole concept of people having a thousand friends and then being swamped by online notifictaions is utterly ridiculous!

HOW ABOUT YOU JUST ALLOW US TO MARK FAVORITES AS POP UPS!

Hey there, sounds like you might have them on your favourites list if a notification pops up when they're online:

support.xbox.com/.../add-friend-to-favorites

I believe if they're not in your favourites, then you shouldn't be seeing a notification for them.

I have never added him as a favorite though and I have just checked and there is no one in there and he still pops up every time hes online and I don't know how to fi this as I have blocked him but he still pops up.

For those annoyed with online pop ups (friends, etc) but still like to see when a cheevo pops

Well, there is a separate list for friends that you can 'favorite'... I'd say that would be the best logical course for them to add notifications. If you want to only be notified when certain friends come online you could add those friends to the favorites
list. As far as that goes, they could still add the option to turn off those notifications as well.
