    Faulty xbox one x


    sadly my xbox one x is faulty and keeps losing hdmi signal mid game. Only way to fix it is to switch the console on and off. After several faulty xbox 360s it isnt a great sign thag my X is faulty. I was told to post in here after talking to someone in live
    chat. I am really not very pleased. Amazon have agreed to replace my console, and i was wondering what customer service, if any, Microsoft is willing to offer its long term customers.

    Ww2 crashing

    I get past the intro and about to start mission and the game crashes out to my home screen.. is it faulty game or faulty console.. starting to think I made a mistake with the Xbox one X Faulty xbox one x :(

    or are you using a splitter?

    If you are disconnect it and directly connect the xbox one to the tv

    Splitters or intermediate devixes don't handle high bandwidth device's like consoles

    Ps4 will have the same issue I know cause it does the same on mine

    AAlso using non hdmi 1.4 gold plated cables is not recommended as xbox one x and ps4 need higher quality cables

    Even xbox one does

    PSN and Nintendo wont care if you whine either.

    If Amazon agreed to replace it then take that, its better than nothing.

    You act as if no electronics ever malfunction out of the box and based on your own statement of prior history of "several faulty xbox 360s " its shame on you for not waiting for the better models.

    using the contact options you suggested and they were able to arrange a replacement order.

    its very very imprortant to go thru the troubleshooting steps

    So that ita repaired and diagnosed properly

    If you say HD FAULT but its really yout external HD then repairing the internal one wont do a thing

    Or if your cable isnt hdmi2.0 or has a crimp in the line then a new display port wont work regardless of console or new console

    Or ifs ir is a software setting or your tv isnt supporting the right display settings

    Then nothing can work except to downgrade the signal or set your tv to the supported methods

    If its a display issue then best bet connect directly to the tv in port 1 snd use tv setup

    Anything like receivers or spliters will afect it

    Every device has specific ports for specific things spliters wont support too many 4k devices remembrr you are spliting a certain bandwidth

    Same.with recivers its important to choose the right ports and the right cables

    A 10 dollar hdmi cable wont do anything for 4k

    Gold plated and name brand is the best belkin and small brands aint so good

    I use twisty cables available from amazon myself

    Thanks for coming to the forums. As Smwutches has recommend and is correct, we recommend you request a call from support and set up a repair that way.
    When you go to Contact Us to get it to request a chat follow these steps:



    • Step 1 ----select Xbox One
    • Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
    • Step 3-----select show contact options

      Step 4 ----select request call from support

    Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
