Faulty Xbox one disk drive

So I've had my day one Xbox one since day one working perfectly fine never had a single problem, I just tried putting a disk in after ejecting one and now it won't take the disk in at all. I've tried resetting by holding the power button down and I've tried
a hard reset by removing the power cable, nothing's worked. Is there something else to try or am I screwed?

Yup sounds like the drive needs replacing, phone Microsoft support they should sort you out with a replacement might mean no xbox for 10 days I am afraid.

and dont let support talk you into putting your games in the drive if they make you go through the usual routine stuff. Tell then your not chancing it.

Mine has had this problem since I bought it. It's not a "day one" model but it is an early model. If you prop up the front of your xbox so that the front is raised slightly it should take the discs in and read them fine. I remember reading that it has something
to with gravity helping to pull the discs in to where they need to be. I personally use screw-top plastic bottle caps under each of the front left and right grips on the base of the console. Its not ideal but it worked for me. Hope this helps

It sounds like the disc drive is faulty, and i would be carefull about putting games into it, as you can damage the discs, and other people have had trouble getting their damaged discs refunded.

I would contact support and talk to them. Better to have it fixed than it getting worse and possibly ruining your game discs.

When you contact support at 1-800-4MYXBOX just ask the rep to transfer you immediately to the hardware department. They will get you a replacement. There is a few different options you can take. Some are quicker than others. But for fast replacement you
may need to place a hold on your card for the price of the console until they get the faulty one back. Choice is yours though.
