faulty xbox one controller after 6 weeks

can anyone advise me on how get a faulty xbox one controller changed, I brought it from amazon uk 6 weeks ago and it has now developed a fault, iI went though the support request process and got a number but they have not contacted me as promised. I cant
return it to amazon so im not sure where togo next. thanks if anybody can advise me.

My Xbox One Controller is suddenly malfunctioning big time.

I was having this problem pretty heavily like a week after I got my One. There is a giant thread in the support forums of controllers disconnecting for a second or two. Bought regular One controller and didn't have any problems staying connected. So paid
the $6 shipping to send it to MS and two weeks later got a new Day One controller back that worked perfectly. Something wrong with some controllers wireless hardware. Only temporary solution with the faulty controller was plugging it into console with a spare
USB cable.

 

Returning Xbox one, how do I get the games off with no functioning controller?

So two days after getting the xbox one, the controller stopped working properly. It acts as if buttons are depressed when they are not (not allowing me to select any apps/constant scrolling of xbox one guide). Despite owning the system for a week, xbox support
(after 3 hours worth of different chats) says they need me to pay to ship the faulty controller (from a week old system) to them, or wait a week to see if free shipping will be approved. So I either wait a week with a useless console, or I go and return it.
Problem is I DL two games to the console and need to uninstall them, but do not have a working controller. How do I do this?

What type of fault? Most times with a normal controller, it will need to be replaced as they don’t seem to want to repair controllers unless it’s the Elite.

Whenever you go through the troubleshooting pages, it recommends you getting it replaced which you will have to pay for if out of warranty.
