Faulty Xbox controller bought from argos

Hi everyone I recently bought a new controller from Argos and is not working properly I've had it for a week and the RB button is unresponsive in some cases. I thought it was lag at first but it only delays or not respond to the RB button, like for every
3/4 time i press it and it works then doesn't work for a couple of times and then it starts working again. The controller has been used twice and mostly.

Now my question is this since Argos is closed and they don't do exchange at this very moment there would be a possibility to send this controller directly to Microsoft and have it replaced?

I really don't wanna buy another controller while I have to wait for argos to re-open

I have tried a different controller that works just fine

I've also tried to hard reset the xbox but nothing the changed the RB button is still unresponsive in some cases

Call the store and explain them your situation

Yeah it's closed and will be probably for another month, so I can't take it back before then. So that's why I am asking if I can return directly to Microsoft

I got told as long as you have a receipt for the controller you can take it to any argos thats in a store of sainsburys and its under warranty

As of 14th May Argos are now accepting returns again.

If you purchased using the Fast Track Delivery (where it is delivered to you) then contact the live chat on their website and they can arrange a no contact exchange. If it was purchased in store then you can return it to an Argos inside Sainsburys.
