    Faulty Headset Adapter?


    I recently bought an Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and I tried to use my headset and the microphone does not work. I can hear game and party audio, but not talk. I am using a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable that has 3 black bands. I've already updated the controller,
    following word for word what was in the manual. Then also trying to update it with the adapter and headset plugged in.

    I am using a Sony Gold Wireless Headset. I've read others got the same headphones to work on the Xbox One. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you are using the headset adapter for the controller it may be faulty.

    Sounds as tho you need a headset adapter if the 3.5mm jack has become faulty.

    If you have purchased a headset adapter and the headset still doesn't work then it looks like the headset may be faulty.

    Have you tried your headset's on other compatible devices?

    Have you connected the controller with headset adapter to the console via USB and checked to see if a firmware update is needed?

    Xbox One S Controller Headphone socket fault

    G'day,

    Have you tried using a Headset adapter connected to the controller?

    This bypasses the faulty socket and gives better control over the headset for volume, mute etc.
