    Faulty elite v1 controller - now resolved


    Hi I have a faulty xbox elite v1 controller that is just out of warranty,

    I have contacted microsoft customer service 3 times now since the 28th Feb and was advised a manager will contact me back regarding the known issue with these elite v1 controllers,

    I have not heard anything back.

    The customer service advisers have not been friendly at all and even had someone put me on hold (although wasn't on hold) and could hear him swear over the phone, I have all call times and dates noted down.

    I have also had a replacement sent out for the elite v2 controller which again has known issues, the replacement is faulty and I am in process to send the controller back for ANOTHER replacement.

    Can someone help me?

    4th call to support and finally got someone who understood my frustration, v1 controller now boxed and waiting to be shipped for a replacement.

    Hopefully the v1 and v2 replacements will last lol

    I think you might be out of luck if it is out of warranty, how far past the expiration is your controller?

    Regarding the swearing, I think that is best dealt with through the xbox support site, we don't have access to an complaints system here

    What is the issue you are having with it out of interest?

    Read your post sorry for your troubles hope yo get some help was just reading your post if the first controller is out of warranty probably not cost effective to repair just go back to a standard controller new system will be out soon save your money for

    Hi, thanks for reading and replying, the v1 controller 4 weeks out of warranty

    The left grip is peeling away and the right thumb/joystick is very loose

    I have ready posts from other consumers of the v1 controller that has been out of warranty for 6 months + and getting free replacements as a good will gesture due the fact the controller was faulty and well documented by microsoft.

    I cannot for the life of me get to speak to a manager to discuss, as per my og post called 3 times (2 times today 8 hours apart) was promised on all 3 calls a manager would call me.

    Is there an easy way to raise a complaint online as I just seen to go round in circles,

    Terrible luck. Owned both Elite versions and no problems. All you can do is keep sending them back if they're faulty.

    Hello ScottHilley,

    Quite sad to read the issues you are facing with Elite controllers.

    My advice would be insisting a bit more with the elite v2 until you receive a good unit, as you paid for the gamepad you want to have one that works properly.
