    Hi everyone i thought i would share some advice as i am having a horrible time like most people in regards of what to do when i comes to purchasing a faulty unit.

    mircosoft do not record faulty units that are returned to the retailer they can only access information regarding faulty hardware that is sent back to their repair centre. I have had 6 series 2’s now and i am now awaiting my 7th to be sent to me. I live
    in the UK so i was well within my rights to return any faulty product to the place of purchase so the first 4 went back to the retailer but since covid 19 i have had to do the process through mircosoft the 5th went back to them directly and the 6th one within
    2 days developed faults and has been sent back to them again! Since esculating a complaint about the product i have been less than happy with the service i have received from mircosoft. They know that they have faults but wont recognise it because they dont
    have enough data on their systems and people moaning about the issues on forums and youtube etc just dont count towards mircosoft acknowledging it. So please anyone that has a faulty product of any kind not just the series 2 go through mircosoft so we all
    have a chance of being heard.

    Trust me i am going through a tier 3 complaints process i have the emails from the mircosoft representative to back up what I am saying which is why i am urging people to go through the proper channels even though it is quicker an and easier to go back
    to the retailer the only information the complaints department can access is through their repair centre yes i agree the big boys at mircosoft will know the actual figures but the people that we have to deal with are just palming us off and not forth coming

    Well its official microsoft dont care at all they will only reference one review that was made in november last year in regards to issues. The compaints department dont have access to any real information and after mentioning consumer rights they closed
    my case file..........

    I'm not too sure about that. The retailer isn't going to just eat that loss of a constant return of a controller or other product. I'm sure they send them back to Microsoft for some sort of credit or whatever distributor they may use.

    All controllers over time will develop stickdrift and deadzone. I always buy my controllers from another store that offers extended warranty plans because its just a fact about controllers. Microsoft has a 3 month warranty to ensure that your product isn't
    faulty right out of the box and if it is you can send it back so if you ever get a faulty product right from the start you have time to send it in. but since you didn't you would have to pay for a repair or replacement i go through controllers every 2-4 months
    and it doesn't matter brand so that's why controllers normally don't have long standard warranty's because they always break eventually for normal use around 6-12 months so if the warranty was longer Microsoft and any other controller company would need to
    spend a lot of money replacing everyone's stuff.

    I always buy a one year warranty from best buy and send in my controller before the warranty expires and get a new controller than i buy the same warranty so it only costs the warranty price when i need a new controller.
