Faulty disk drive xbox support fail warranty loses to sony

I purchased an xbox one at launch that had a disc drive made loud noises with a disc in. I called microsoft support and they said they wouldn't do advanced exchange, so microsoft wants me to pay for the shipping around $50? and be without my one for a month
when it was a manufacturer defect. I've been loyal for 10 years but the way they handled the service plan with only 45 days, while Sony's was 365 days. It's more expensive, they wasted the opportunity to achieve parity with playstation graphics. I spend
anywhere from $1,000 or upwards a year on games and accessories. I just bought $300 worth of digital content just this month. I've starting to get tired of microsoft treating their customers so bad, the only thing support can give you for your troubles is
a month of gold, after several hours of the tech not knowing what they are talking about. I'm going to try tomorrow to get them to make it an advanced exchange if I can't I'm seriously considering selling leaving microsofts ship, if this is going to be how
they treat their customers.

I mad a mistake trusting someone brought a Xbox one s that wasn't as described as he said.

Contact the Xbox Support chat and explain that you just bought a Xbox and the disc drive is faulty. Also mention the fan noise. They should be able to check if the console is still under warranty. Additionally you can do things like this at your local Microsoft Store.

 

Nothing Works

All new Xbox 360 Slims come with a years warranty and it sounds like your Disk Drive is faulty so there wouldn't be much harm in trying would there?

 

Microsoft needs to start acting like it cares about its customers and take responsibility for their failures, I think the 45 day thing was microsofts way of being able to refuse to repair the consoles they knew were defective basically the xbox ones rrod
for a company that makea at least 20 billion a year this is shameful.
