Faulty Disc Drive

I just brought my Xbox one Last week and I think something's wrong with the disc drive, ive noticed scratches (small lines going outward from the centre of the disc) have appeared on all of my games thankfully though there just cosmetic but awhile ago while
playing Saints row re elected my game froze and crashed with a rumbling noise and now it cant be read by my xbox and has EVEN more scratches on it than it already had. Before you ask No the scratches weren't present before buying them.

Are these small cosmetic scratches normal? What should I do? is it a reason to contact Microsoft or what?

Disc drives malfunctioning in Xbox One units

I just read an article that says Microsoft is acknowledging faulty disc drives in some Xbox One units. Some people are having a problem with the drive making a grinding noise and not reading the disc, so if you have this problem, you're not alone!

Then the disc drive is faulty.

If the disc drive is faulty then you may still have issues even with the game installed on an external drive.

The disc still needs to be read to verify it when you first put the disc into the console.

I've had faulty disc drives that would not play disc copies of games even though they were already installed.

I have the same issue, but didn't have it the first day (watched a Blu-ray first day but wouldn't ready anything day 2 and on). I also have an issue where my XBox shuts down for no reason after about 5-10 minutes after playing a game. It will come back
on, but I cannot play any games until they get me my new one (hoping it works though).
