Faulty controller-joystick sticks

I have had my 2 Xbox One controllers for about a year. Both have become unusable. The left side joystick sticks and causes character wandering and making it impossible to make onscreen selections. Are these controllers only supposed to last one year?
Is there a recall for these?

Just FYI, I still have the original Playstation, which has joysticks on the controllers, and have never had this issue.

Controller analog sticks broken?

I have purchased three joysticks all have went bad left analog stick had malfunctioned on each including the original so that makes a total if four faulty joysticks I have

Xbox controllers are the worst

You can buy new analogue sticks, i have ordered one and as soon as it arrives i will post about my progress, here is the link for the stick if any one fancies joining in

The warranty on controllers are typically 90 days, however, some regions may be longer. If your controller is not under warranty then the best option is to simply purchase a new one.

Having the same issue. Right joystick only works in test mode and when magnifier is on. I can actually go into the controller settings and “swap sticks” and then the right joystick works but not the left. So clearly the controller is working properly and not damaged or faulty. Feels like its some sort of software/setting issue. Same problem on (4) separate controllers and (2) different xbox consoles….

Most games have individual sensitivity settings but I've never heard of anyone having issues in the dashboard unless you're controller is faulty. Sounds like you may have some very severe stick drift.

Hmm, don't have my X1 yet, but y'all are worrying me with this controller talk. I kill joysticks on 360 controllers every 6 months. My current 360 controller, the left stick sticks to the left.
