    Hi

    i have a brand new faulty controller but when i try to request a replacement via the xbox support system, the screen simply ‘hangs’ (colour wheel simply revolves...and revolves...and...etc). I can’t seem to find a way to contact anyone ‘official’ to help
    as it tells me that you cannot phone for controller problems...can anyone possibly point me in the right ditection (i have only had the xbox for a couple of weeks and am new to this, so apologies if this is a stupid question!)

    Thanks for getting back to me Onset.

    I have been able to see that the serial number confirms the controller is only 2wks old & therefore within warranty.

    After trying to request a replacement for over 1hr where the screen would not progress through to the next page it finally updated - I guess their website was very busy!

    A support number has now been generated and i await their further contact...

    On the back of your controller under where the batteries are there will be a warrent. Check the date on there first.

    If the headsets work fine on another controller, then it probably is a faulty headset port. I'd contact official support again and push for a replacement controller.

    Are you using a wired or wireless controller? As you have had the controller for a while the part in question may have become faulty, this could be simply from use or from dirt etc building up under the thumbstick. You could either replace the controller
    or clean it.
