    I bought my son a new xbox series x and 2 days in ,the B button developed a fault , button sticks

    , after contacting microsoft ,they requested i send it back , i requested a replacement to be sent asp and ill return the faulty controller at a later date , due to the fact that myself and my son tested postive for covid and are self isolating and i dont
    feel safe sending this covid infected controller back,for some poor enginneer to catch covid but microsot said still send it back , anyone got any advice ,i think microsofts covid procedure is shocking

    He said the refurb was if they couldn't fix it, so I'd be waiting a week or two and then receiving my fixed Series X back or a refurb. Truly thought they'd send a new one upon receipt of our faulty one, or as mentioned in other posts offer the Advanced Exchange :(

    Thank you for your quick reply.

    We tried all this initially, Microsoft support went through this with us too. Their last attempt was the offline update, which also failed.

    I just don't want to be palmed off with a refurb, surely that should come when it's over 12 months old?! :(

    They send refurbished models because it's faster for you instead of waiting on them to fix your console.
