Faulty Battery or Battery Repair

Dear Xbox,

My battery for the 1st generation Xbox One is either faulty or needs repair. I can't tell because every time I plug in the battery the white stripe all of a sudden stays on orange. May I have some assistance or feedback on how the get my Xbox One To work
once again?

Play and Charge Kit doesn't work

Sounds like a fault with the battery to me. You can test this out. Unplug the controller from either the PC or Xbox, remove the rechargeable battery. Reattach your controller to the PC or console without the battery. If your controller powers up and
works with just the cable, the battery is faulty.

Faulty batteries pretty much always show a full charge and then cut out.

Xbox one controller says it's connected but isn't working

To resolve this issue, determine the faulty component and then replace that component:

The Xbox One Wireless Controller

To troubleshoot the wireless controller, try using AA batteries, or try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack to verify that nothing is wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, it isn't causing the issue.

The Xbox One Play & Charge cable

To check whether the cable is the problem, try a different Play & Charge cable (or any standard USB to micro-USB cable) to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different cable, your charge cable is faulty.

The rechargeable battery

To troubleshoot the rechargeable battery, try the following:

Use a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox One Wireless Controller. Then try to charge the battery again.

Try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, your original battery is faulty.

Are you referring to the power brick on your Xbox's power cable?

Let us know if you are able to troubleshoot your Power Supply or if you need more help. It is possibly that it has just lived its life finally and just needs replaced. God Luck!

Yeah, it is strange behavior for the controller to do that. perhaps the connection between the controller and the batteries is faulty, if so then a replacement or repair would be your only options.
