Fault with xbox gold allocating games to >1 user on the xbox...?

Hello,

More than one person in my house owns xbox live gold (me and my sons). I've just realised that only one person actually has the free games with gold

Basically, when any other person goes to a game with gold and it's already downloaded it just gives option to 'play'. Which means, I'm guessing, that it isn't allocated to that person and so because I usually download the game none of my sons have it when
I stop or when they get their own xbox one?

On my PS4, whenever a new profile gets a game they have to 'purchase' it first.

You can also find the current free Games with Gold game on your console by:

--> Going to the Dashboard

--> Moving to the Games tab

--> Selecting the Browse Games tile

--> Selecting the Games with Gold / free with gold tile.

 

Xbox One Online Subscription Sharing

Does she have someone elses account on hers that has gold? Cause doing that is still having one console without gold, and in order to share gold both accounts have to be on the same console. Just fixed your example for how it should be.

 

You can't download a game twice onto the same console

 

If your sons get a new xbox you just add your profile to that and you can get all the games you own downloaded onto the new xbox I'm pretty sure

No, I mean you have to 'purchase' the free game to add it to your collection otherwise you lose it.

So when I do it on the xbox, it means the others with gold end up not having bought it because they only have an option to Play. so when I lapse mine or they have their own and don't connect my live account they haven't got it.

i.e. as it stands there is no means of them being able to get the gold games for themselves even though they have gold.

Download 'Smartglass for Xbox One' on ios/android, sign in and download for each Gamertag, alternatively....delete the game and re-download it on each Gamertag.

Having said that, if you are the only one with Gold, you can't. The Gold is only 'shared' on the console, not given to each Gamertag as a gift.
