Fast Ticking Noise From Xbox One

Does anyone else experience a very fast clicking or ticking noise emanating from their Xbox One in certain games? I've noticed it periodically in some games like jumping off a tall structure in AC4, but it has been almost constant while playing Far Cry 4
and seems to be the worst when I am outside and the game is rendering a lot of grass. To be clear, the noise in the video below is NOT in-game noise (I have the game muted), the noise is coming from the Xbox One hardware.

I want to know if this is a hardware issue that needs to be addressed or if it is normal Xbox One behavior. When there is a lot going on in a game I don't really notice it, but during slow, quiet moments it is all I can hear.

Just bought Xbox one s 1 tb From the moment I fired it up the fan makes loud ticking noise nonstop. Is this normal?

It sounds consistent with reports where others have opted to have their consoles repaired/replaced.

I would first make sure its flat and on a level surface.

-Depending upon how long you've had the Xbox One....

option 1 - Take it back to the retail store

option 2 - setup an advanced repair (

*Its ultimately up to you, meaning if the sounds don't bother you and the system is functioning and under warranty....if your decision.

Ok, thanks for the response. I have a question about backing my stuff up for I go with a replacement. I currently have all my games and apps stored on an external USB drive, do you know if all my game saves should be on the drive as well or could they still
be on the internal drive?

 

Great question.

Just connect to Xbox live "just in case" and allow all your saves to sync. This is done automatically if you're always connected.

Obviously keep your items on the external HD.

Go into manage just to make sure all games & apps are on the external.

* If you're sending it to Xbox. Look at the shipping options that best fit your desires.

My first exchange took 21+ days. It was setup by the company after they contacted me.

My second exchange I did on my own after troubleshooting failed to resolve the issues. I also paid and extra $12 for expedited service.
