    Far Too Awkward to Cancel Auto-Renewal


    It is ridiculously difficult to cancel the Xbox Live Gold subscription. It should be simple and easy.

    I tried to cancel it ahead of the renewal and was not able. There was simply no option on the subscriptions page allowing me to do so.

    I did not even agree to an automatic renewal. I paid for Gold for one month only.

    I then lost my bank card and had to cancel the card. The subscription renewed, although I have no interest in using it, and now Microsoft want £5.99 from me, backdated.

    It is impossible to diretctly contact them via the Xbox website. I was redirected through various useless parts of the page.

    I would post a screenshot of the Subscriptions page on the Xbox website, showing how there is simply no option for me to turn off auto-renewal, but the only way I seem to be able to do that is to post an HTML link to my picture, and I have neither the time
    nor the energy.

    I am trying to cancel my auto renewal but get the following error: An error occured cancelling automatic renewal.

    Is there another way to cancel the auto renewal?

    Sorry to hear about the problem your having. To cancel auto renewal click on this link and it will guide you through the steps.support.xbox.com/.../cancel-xbox-live-gold-subscription


    Might I also suggest removing payment option on your account. This might help with the auto renewal too if it keeps renewing.

    Whenever you purchase gold from Xbox, it does warn you that auto-renewal will be turned on. So by confirming the purchase, you also agree to the auto-renewal.

    If you can't turn it off via the website, you will have to contact support so they can do it. You can contact them directly 0800 587 1102

    Keep in mimd to use your account while signed in you will need to pay off the outstanding balance

    What Ambassador ngocphi has told you is definitely true. As for your Xbox Live Gold, you may cancel this subscription by signing-in your Microsoft Account Email to:
    http://account.live.com > Click the tab Services & Subscriptions > On the next page, you will see there your Xbox Live Gold (from left to right), the type of subscription, when it would expire and the "cancel
    button" under it, and the method that you've used to pay for it.

    Refund for Game Pass + How to cancel subscription/turn off auto-renewal & recurring billing.

    To cancel auto-renewal you need to go too the xbox website then go too payment and billing find Xbox game pass then turn off auto renewal on the game pass

    then it should cancel your auto renewal.
