Far Cry media needed

Far Cry is one of my favorite gaming franchises. I love the series so I'm a little excited for the newest iteration. I've not really seen anything on this yet though so if anyone happens to find any media on this, please post it up.

Am I the only disappointed with Far Cry 3?

Far Cry 3 needed more stuff to do to keep you occupied after you completed the game. Relic hunting 500 relics was no fun.

 

Far Cry 3 is looking good

Really looks like it plays just like Far Cry 2. Far Cry 2 was extremely lame and very very boring for me. Hopefully Far Cry 3 succeeds where Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry 2 failed.

 

I've seen a trailer and some screens. I'll see if I can find them.

 

There's an age gate here but this is the newest. Haven't watched it all myself but for me it's a day 1 purchase by the games title alone.

It's a preorder, day one purchase for me too. But, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed a bit. It's slated to launch right after the latest COD. Regardless, if the final product is really good, I don't mind an additional wait.

 

Same here. I thought Far Cry 3 was perfect. So if they improve it in 4 I just can't imagine. Vehicle takedowns look awesome.

 

Elephants,coop include in the campaign,.....Just great.

I just found "the villain" not as good as Vaas,but he will die,anyways.

 

that drop in and out co-op looked sweet and the trailer really answers a lot of my first instinct questions. Devs are slowly working towards really seamless integrations into the things we love. Ubisoft especially.

Vaas will be tough to top for sure. You could hate him, feel sorry for him, hope he changed and a plethora of other things throughout that campaign and his character development felt pretty authentic. That is to say, I don't know many rebel leaders but
he's how I'd imagine one I suppose.

 

They better have Far Cry 2 lobby system of create your own server and map playlist. Not like how they had it for Far Cry 3. Was a pain for Far Cry 3 for lobbies. Was a step backwards for map makers as well. Was hard to promote your own maps of tons of
hours spent on it. Cause if you made a server it was private and always had to spam previous played players list to fill up a private server.

Far Cry 2 all the user created lobbies were public. Was easy to promote a good user made map. Far Cry 3 had all private user created lobbies which in the end people moved on cause the lobbies sucked. Was a pain just to join a public ranked lobby with
a couple of friends. Some never got in and was a mess.

Also on Far Cry 3 horrible maps got bump up the list to silver and gold. Plenty were a waste of time. Also UBISOFT lied about having animals and bots and drivable vehicles in a publish made maps. That was complete false advertisement. UBISOFT got grilled
in their official forums to. Also in the videos of Far Cry 4 has mountains and snowy peaks. So there will be snow in the map editor then as well.

 

I didn't play MP on far cry 3 that much but I'm sure a MP trailer is coming soon. maybe they listened.

 

I just love the robust map editor. I've seen some really cool maps and have even made a few cool ones myself. One of which was my own imagined rendition of Gilligan's Island complete with huts, mountain and the lagoon.

 

How big was the Gilligan's Island map? Hope you didn't make it too big. Since we cant publish vehicles big maps got to be a Debby downer pretty fast on foot. Kinda like being left behind on foot on Battlefield while blue berries peel off alone in a jeep.
You can use telephone poles for ziplines as well. So that's nice quick transportation.

 

Ive seen a little bit of stuff. I like farcry myself but would prefer PvP be a little more like predator than 3 cause I miss vehicles in PvP. Although the single player was cool. I think farcry could use a little bit of open world multiplayer. It gets
a little boring when your running around a big world by yourself
