"Far Cry 4" First Impressions

^^ That sucks. I'm hoping to find good deals on Alien, Evil Within and Sherlock at least as they are all Christmas presents. Probably 2 more games too, but I haven't decided which yet. Any present recommendations?

And I was watching a stream on FC4 earlier. The game looks incredible. My gf said she'll be getting it for me which makes me a happy panda.

When "Skyrim" was being released my wife asked me what would happen if she got me "Skyrim" for Christmas and I explained that I'd end up with 2 copies.

 

It's slightly off-topic, but I just read on IGN that certain people who bought the game on the PC are complaining online that they don't have access to certain options, and in the process are admitting to having illegal copies of the game, since legitmate
owners can connect the game online and get a day one update that fixes that issue. I find that rather hilarious.

 

A bit like the PC version of "Arkham Asylum" where Rocksteady programmed a glitch that hampered pirates by eliminating the ability to use Batman's "Dive Glide"...

And in the process eliminating their ability to complete the game.

You're definately getting your money's worth here.

The Far Cry 4 trick is the latest in a series of pranks that developers play on those who try to illicitly download their games.

In September, Electronic Arts spliced a bug into pirate copies of The Sims 4 where the image becomes increasingly pixellated.

Other developers have demonstrated more pleasure from dishing pirates their comeuppance. In 2010, a pirated copy of Serious Sam 3 added an invincible, giant scorpion mutant that hounded the player for the remainder of the game.

 

I never played any Far Cry games before, but I picked-up FC4 for my X1 and I'm loving it! The game-play is buttery smooth, the story is good, and the graphics are beautiful. It's definitely worth every penny!

 

I'm so glad to hear that the poor performance I experienced in the demo a month ago have been sorted and they released what seems like a polished far cry game. Will pick this up eventually on sale. Just got to much to play already. Enjoy everyone.

 

Simply Games have great prices, but English and Irish mail is so slow. Still waiting on the game and I got a notice saying it was dispatched last Friday.

 

my impression watching someone play it on twitch...looks like far cry 3 reskinned...i'll pass until a huge sale..maybe they should try a new ip..i know i know...whats that? it cant milk the fanbase :O

 

You'd need to buy an XBox ONE first anyways so you're actually missing out big time on a range of great titiles.
