Far Cry 2 has terrible Aiming controls

I just bought Far Cry 2 on backward compatible, and my god, the aiming control is horrendous.

Big dead zone, then nearly the rest of zone is taken up with fine aiming which doesn’t work well, and very end of stick range is turning speed.

It’s unplayable like this.

I’ve tried Xbox one controller, and presets with Elite controller - either way the aiming is terrible.

PS very early game didn’t have abysmal pop in like I remembered originally, so so far that’s been impressive on the technical side. But with that control it’s not playable.

Gears Judgment is a Fail

because far cry 2 was terrible, but had an awesome map editor, and far cry 3 has awesome gameplay but a *** map editor. I'd still have FC3 if the map editor was good and the community didn't go back to fc2 and other games.

I think both videos looks great! Couldn't get into Far Cry 2 at all but the story is intriguing me in the 3rd one. I hope they improve the driving in this new one. The driving was terrible in Far Cry 2.

Sorry to hear about the trouble, and thanks for reaching out here and letting us know. Instead of the presets, if you

use a custom configuration and adjust the thumbstick sensitivity manually, are you able to find a setting that works for you?

Also, by chance, do you have an Xbox 360 console you could test playing Far Cry 2 on, and let us know if the same issue appears when you play on that console?

I bought a 360 copy of Far Cry 2, played it on a new 360 console with a new 360 controller - and the bad aiming controls are nearly exactly the same as on Xbox 1 with Xbox 1 controller and elite controller.

Please ask Ubisoft to fix aiming. I’ve contacted them as well, but with no acknowledgement.
