Fans on full load

Started up Star Wars battlefront 2 and my Xbox one x fans are blowing really fast and loud. This console is nothing but a huge problem....Starting to miss my Xbox one, sad to say but true.

Muliplayer and Load times

It could just be my experience but most multiplayer games this generation feels like I am pulling teeth to get into a game. It seems COD AW is the only game that has full lobbies and quick load times that seem to work well. (no I am not a die hard COD fan.)
Halo - could take me anywhere from 5 to 15 min to find a full lobby and then load
GTA online - nightmare to load and get into a game
The last of us- full lobby takes a while

I have both xbox1 and PS4 and I feel its the same across both platforms. What do you guys think?

Fan runs full speed.

Clear your hard drive of your gamertag and DLC. Be sure to format a usb stick on the pc and then configure it to the xbox so you can move your game saves to it first.

After you get the new console you'll be able to reaccess your DLC from your download history. You can access the download history on the console by going to System>Accounts>Download History.

 

I hear you, my xbox one x is louder when a game runs hot which is normal but its not a even sound (not consistant). itll rev up and down up and down

 

that’s ridiculous man, like what is this console a cheeta ? Get a short burst of fun before it explodes on you ? My sounds like a fan header in a kitchen. Mind you this is only playing one game of Star Wars, which is baffling.

 

Just out of curiosity, where did you place the console? Pretty much all modern consoles tend to heat up, if you cram them into a television table that is closed from the rear, except for the small hole to run cables through.

But on tabletop, free air, there should not be issues like that.

My project scorpio did a bit of that rev-up rev-down too, just 15 minutes before it broke down.

 

It has plenty of space to breathe I made sure of that. It’s on top of my coffee table with nothing around it, only my tv which is a foot or two away from it. Surprisingly it didn’t break down on me. Survived another day. That’s how I look at it lol.

 

I've got exactly the same problem.

 

My Scorpio edition does this on Gears, Battlefront, TR and more than likely all enhanced, 4k games. All bog standard games are completely silent. I am hearing some people claiming that their consoles are completely silent and in the absence of any official
word on this, I am just going to raise a repair ticket.

For the majority of the game play, it is silent but the massive turbo boost rise from the fans that kicks in periodically completely takes you out of the game experience. It pants!

 

Just been on to Microsoft support. They were very quick to arrange an advanced replacement which suggests that there is definitely something wrong! Here's a sanitised version of the chat. It is worth noting that when I mentioned fan noise the responses were
immediate which makes me believe they were a copy and paste i.e. used frequently.
