    Our day one edition made a massive noise like the fan ticking after a while it went quiet but now just keep a powering off and smells like its overheating...sending it off for repair the support centre said 3 to 4 weeks!!! Not impressed!!!

    Ticking sound when turned off

    When I turn off my X1 into standby mode, I hear a noise that sounds like a clock ticking, but at a faster than normal rate. It goes away if I put the console into energy saver mode. My guess is this is a fan and the ticking noise is ____? If it's just a
    noisy gear then big whop but any chance the ticking I hear is the fan hitting against a wire or something? That could be bad.

    Xbox One Power Brick Light STAYS WHITE.

    Yea the white light on the power brick stays on if you have the "instant on" option ticked in the settings. It lets you say "xbox on" to turn the console on and quickly jump into you're game where you left off and allows the xbox one to update itself while
    its off. As for the buzzing noise its just the fan inside the power brick keeping it cool so there are no overheating issues.

    Statement: The new xbox series x overheats and shutsdown with normal use. Microsoft please address this issue

    My issue is with the console's fan getting really loud during gameplays and not it actually 'overheating'.
