    Fan problem?


    I think my fan has died. When I boot my Xbox One I get the green splash screen then a warning message about ventilation. I can hit A on the controller and it goes to the home screen. I can log in, open the Xbox preview programme app and and watch a youtube
    video, but when I open a game it last about 20 seconds before the xbox shuts down completely. At that point everytime I turn it back on it shuts down again. When you first switch on from cold the fan normally runs for a few seconds, but this isn't happening
    now so that's why I think the fan has failed and it is overheating.

    As luck would (NOT) have it, its warranty only just expired in November!!! What are my options and how much will it cost to fix?

    fan?

    My new Xbox s fan is making a weird noise. Xbox is not messing but fan is making noises. Any comment?

    Hi, I'm guessing this is likely due to a ventilation issue- I'd refer you to the following guide regarding ventilation for your Xbox, which features some tips that might help your issue and a link to set up a device repair just in case: https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/ventilation

    Thanks. It is very annoying that this has happened so soon after the warranty has expired. I expect this is going to cost me money to get fixed!

    Fan Problem

    Heya!

    Sorry to hear about the issues with your power supply!

    Unfortunately, as you seem to have surmised at this point the power supply will need to be replaced. We don't have steps beyond what you have already tried for the Xbox 360 console.

    Reaching out to a local game store or console retailer would be the best course of action at this time.

    I would recommend installing your games if you haven't already tried that. I would also try to vacuum your 360 out from the back where the fans are at. Don't blow air into it. If these steps don't help, then you might need to send it in for repair. Also
    make sure you don't have anything behind or on top of your 360. It needs plenty of room for air flow to keep it cool.
