Fan of Kinect stopped working: repair costs out of warranty?

My Kinect is turning off intermitted probably because it get's over heated. And that's because the fan is not working at all. Now my Kinect is already out of warranty, I'm wondering if anybody knows how much it's gonna cost me to let Microsoft do the repairs
of my Kinect. Thanks in advance guys.

Xbox 360 slim fan stop

Well your console is in the 1 year warrenty period so a repair is free. I suggest you start here:

Are you sure the fan has stopped working? I know sometimes its hard to see the fan spinning becuase of the coloring and angle of the vent

HDMI Port Not working

My HDMI port stopped working as well. Tried everything-

Used a different HDMI cable

Used multiple HDMI ports on TV

Restarted console different ways (as outlined above)

I spoke to a rep and they are asking to send it in for repair. My console is just over a year old and I am having to pay $100+ to send in for repair (out of warranty). This is ridiculous, my Kinect sensor stopped working a few months back and I had to replace
it. It was under warranty but had to pay for shipping (around $40). I am spending almost half the cost of a new console on repairs. Is there a way I can return this console to Microsoft and get a refund? I am tired of it breaking down every few months and
having to dish out extra money to fix it!

Register the serial number of your Xbox and/or Kinect Sensor on your Microsoft Account "Devices" webpage, and go to "More Actions" > "Schedule a repair".

Follow through the process as though you were actually setting up a repair, and it should eventually show you a repair price.

they issued the update now a bunch of people are having problems and they are saying you have to send them in for repairs personally I am contacting a lawyer they put out an update then consoles stop working and WE have to get repairs that if out of warranty

$100 for a possibly small repair on a device that costs $180 brand new is ridiculous. Add on the fact that my warranty ended barely a week before it stopped working.
