Fan noise on 'new' console

Hi, I have just had a replacement console sent to me (the second one within 3 weeks as the original problem wasn't fixed). The original problem of controllers disconnecting every few seconds now seems to have been resolved so far, the console looks brand
new and had those transparent peelable stickers on which the previous 'repaired' console didn't have. However the console you've sent me now sounds like it has crickets living inside it!! The fan is making a very strange noise when a game is played and when
a game isn't played the noise stops. Sounds like something may be trapped in it and it is a noticeably different sound to my previous consoles. This will be the third time within a month (most of the month waiting for ups and Microsoft to send and repair)
I've had to return my console, it's really not good enough.

One very unhappy Microsoft customer :-(

XBOX MAKES LOTS OF VIBRATION NOISE WHEN I TURN IT ON

AS ABOVE THE CONSOLE MAKES VIBRATION NOISES WHEN I TURN IT ON NOT HAD IT VERY LONG SO ITS NOT A DUST PROBLEM !

I HAVE A FEELING IT COULD BE WHEN THE FANS KICK IN.....

ANYONE ELSE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW SLIM MODEL WITH THE FANS AND LOUD VIBRATION NOISE ??????

Are you sure it's the fan? "ticking like a cricket" may be the hard drive...

I thought about the hard drive, however I'm using an external hard drive which doesn't make any noise whatsoever. If the games are running off the external drive then would the internal one still be in use during games? It's now making a kind of whirring
noise on halo mcc along with the ticking noise. The whirring isn't present on Fifa 15 or gta v, just the annoying constant loud ticking. Certainly sounds a bit poorly, I'd upload a video of it but can't seem to do that on here. I'll have to send it in for
repair yet again. It's beyond a joke really, third time sending it in in a matter of weeks. Anyone from Microsoft have any thoughts on this shambles?

I already sent my console for the exchange program.

I will hope that the new console will not make the same noise.

Instant on mode causes PSU fan to run 24/7. Very annoying when every other a/v component is silent.

X1 is laid flat in a well ventilated area.

I know i can be a little OCD with this things, but I'm afraid this noise could lead to some kind of malfunction in the future.

Should I try to replace/fix my console or thats just normal?

If your X1 is making noise (hard drive/fan) then it is faulty Ive had 4 different X1's due to different problems and one of them made excessive noise after playing games. I could then hear the noise over the TV when I watched it.

The other 3 have been practically silent.

Get in touch with Xbox to request a replacement.
