    familysafety.microsoft.com does not show all my children


    On Sign in to your Microsoft account, I can see both of my children's Xbox Live accounts. That's good. However, when I go to familysafety.microsoft.com, only one child is listed. When I click on "Link family members", I get this error message:

    Something went wrong on our end. Please visit the Family Safety forum if you would like to investigate this issue further.

    Exception Type: DDE401B1 occurred at 9/8/2014 8:57 PM
    Please note that I am not using any version of Windows.

    Unable to add child account

    I am logged in as a parent but only one of my child accounts show up under "Family". I have verified both children are present when looking at our family on familysafety.microsoft.com.

    Please help, as I am unable to set any content restrictions

    last week I bought an Xbox1S for my daughter. I went to my accounts and said add child. It does not appear on the xbox web site that she is one of my children. It does however show my son as one of my children. Confused, why did I select add a child
    and yet it does not show up?

    You need to be logged into the parent account that was associated to the child account at the time of the account's creation. It would have been the first thing you did after setting up the child account. You can manage the download settings for child accounts
    at familysafety.microsoft.com and at
    account.xbox.com/Settings.

    I don't think our concern as parents strictly falls into the category of protecting our children from online rapists and such. While that does happen, the realistic and more common concern is whether or not the random requests are coming from individuals
    that would be a positive online influence on our kin. Can we protect our children from everything? Absolutely not. However we can be the protective hand that shows our kids they don't have to be internet dbags to have fun. We all know there is definitely no
    shortage of those in XBL.
