Persuasive circus animals would definitely work! Lol.

brandiesel1's link to vote for the feature shows 760 votes, 288 comments, 16 likes on Facebook, and 2 Tweets; out of the millions of X Box One consoles sold, it would appear it is not a popular feature. M.S. will probably get around to implementing on the
X1, but with numbers like that, I don't see it being their top priority.

    Peace, J.R.

"Microsoft has done a disservice to families and parents by not leaving this element in the profile and they need to put it back IMMEDIATELY. Who do you (Microsoft) think you are? The control of the console is a family decision, and you've taken
that away without any regard for the needs of the family."

Ok I see in one way how this feature could work but as said here, it's a family decision, now to me as a parent ( and I'm not for one second telling others how to parent their children ) it's down to me and my wife to let our daughter know when she can and
can't game! Sure kids will always try and get an extra few minutes here and there but again as a parent it's down to me to make sure liberties are not taken.

So I do agree with the comments above about the tone of this post ... "Who do you Microsoft think you are?" .... "Needs of the family" ..... Sorry but parents just need to let their kids know that the console is off at this time and then it's bed time, if you
    get my meaning.

I think my point is features are missing and it bothers people 'upgrading' to the X1. For some it'll be like going from one version of MS Word to a new iteration that for some unknown reason lacks Spell Check or something. Be like, what is this? Then having
someone go, "Well, use a dictionary." It's not the point.

That it's parental controls in this instance is almost incidental. While I agree with D33dles that it's probably not a priority because of a lack of adoption on the last system, I wouldn't use the uservoice feedback as a signifier. You could use the pace
of these forums as a signifier as to how popular the Xbox brand is... it wouldn't be fair, but you could. Uservoice is almost a placatory thing after the not so fantastic One announcement/launch and subsequent changes.

"You spoke and we listened. You can now have custom backgrounds on the Xbox One!"

I reckon of the tens of millions of 360 users, a VAST majority had custom backgrounds. That the X1 didn't have it at launch, and only eventually got what it had... colour a lot of people unimpressed. But if you look at the feedback thing, "I think it would
be great if we had custom backgrounds!" It's a weird reversal of criticism that should read, "Why were custom backgrounds not a frickin' thing from launch?"

Replace 'backgrounds' with X. Controller vibration. Party chat. Family timer. *nasally*
    Wot... evaaar!

Right now the 360 is objectively better than the X1 for parental controls on the system. Right now Xbox Video is objectively better on 360 than the X1. Unless Microsoft have somehow redefined the word 'upgrade' then you can understand some peoples' confusion
when 'upgrading' to find common [sense] features on the old system... missing on the new, 'next gen', 'upgrade'. Heh ha. {XD

Argontheos, I didn't mean it like you were literally trying to start an argument. It was more like a figure of speech. Pretty much your view was spot on and no other opinion could really dispute your post.

Family Timer not available on XBOX One

My 3 kids never had this feature and it never hurt them. They took turns for an amount of time by communicating to each other . If there were disagreements or issuses and I had to take care of it then no one played untill the issue was solved. ..........
    timers lol. Be a parent.

  9. .........

Hello everyone Family Timer not available on XBOX One :)

    ..........

I babysit and the kids that I watch love using the Xbox One Family Timer not available on XBOX One :)

    ..........

Whenever there is an argument, I tell them that they have 2 options...

    (1) They get along and play the Xbox One peacefully

    (2) Nobody is going to use it

    ...........

With that being said, they opt for choice number one LOL Family Timer not available on XBOX One :)

But, if the want to play different games, here is how I approach the situation. Again, they have 2 choices Family Timer not available on XBOX One :)

    (1) They take turns by letting the other go first. When that time limit is up, the other person gets to play.

    (2) Nobody is going to use it

    ............

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone Family Timer not available on XBOX One :)

    ..........
