    Family timer and forgotten 4 digit passcode


    Hello-

    newbie here. Kids can't play xbox 360 bec the family timer won't go past 2min51sec. I try to enter pin to add time and nothing is working. I can't change pin bec there isn't enough time left on the timer. I've hurried and downloaded new profile only
    to run out of time.

    most importantly, how do I access/change my 4 digit pin, and how do I do this when timer isn't Granting enough time to do this.

    Timer has not reset to original time of 45 min in DAYS.

    I have seem to forgotten my 4-digit passcode to log onto xbox live with my account. Is there any way that I can possibly reset that or receive that passcode.

    ok- i did call the support line. i spoke with a woman- who shall remain nameless- and who gave me a sequence of buttons to push in order to reset the pin. it does not work. Everyone in my family has tried doing it, with the same result. Now what?

    I think you should call back because I believe the reason you cannot change the timer has something to do with the pin code. No one on the forums can help with resetting the pin code, that is something that only phone support can help with.

    I really wish I could help out here but some people who ask are just kids trying to bypass their parents settings (not saying that's true of you). I'm sure you understand.

    Hi FamilyTrack5450,

    I'm sorry you lost your passcode. Please let us know if it is the profile passcode or the family passcode.

    If you've forgotten your Xbox Live gamertag's passcode you just delete and redownload your profile. This will clear the profile of any passcode. Now, if you've forgotten your XBOX 360's Family passcode then you need to contact phone support, there's absolutely
    no way to reset it manually by yourself without speaking with phone support. Worst case scenario is that you will have to "Reset to Factory Defaults" to clear the forgotten Family Passcode.
