    Family sharing accounts not allowed to play online?


    Hi, my other account which I use more regularly is on family sharing. When I went to play some backwards compatible games on it though it said "account is not allowed to play on xbox LIVE" does anyone have a fix?

    Xbox doesn't notify me when someone uses my account?

    Well technically sharing accounts for the purpose of boosting isn't allowed either and sharing an account period unless its family

    Home Gold Sharing from the Xbox One does not transfer over to the Xbox 360 and backwards compatible games. Each individual account will need its own gold subscription to participate in online activities.

    Hello, I hope you are well.

    Please try these steps.

    To allow your daughter to play online on the Switch, it is essential to set up the game's content restrictions in the Xbox Family Settings app. After linking your Microsoft account to your daughter's account in the Xbox Family Settings app, you can change the content restrictions to allow online play.

    Steps to set up online play on the Switch:

    1. In the Xbox Family Settings app:

    Sign in with your family organizer's Microsoft account.

    Select the profile of the member you want to manage and go to settings.

    Under Content Restrictions, select "Minecraft".

    Enable "Multiplayer" to allow the player to play online.

    Enable "Clubs" to allow access to Realms and other features.

    2. On the Nintendo Switch (optional, but recommended):

    Make sure your daughter's account has a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

    Go to Family Settings on Nintendo Switch and make sure that online play restrictions are enabled for your child's account.

    People need to stop moaning about family sharing. Just because microsoft was going to allow you to share your game with 10 people does not mean the publishers will. They would have had the ability to block family sharing i believe. Questions for family sharing
    were left unanswered. Would players be able to play multiplayer through the sharing function? I would not be surprised if this family sharing was for singleplayer only. I am sorry, but i would rather take no drm and no always online check thing then a feature
    that could possibly turn out to suck tremendously.
