Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

At home i have an Xbox One (1) on that console, i have Gamertag1 (Me), and Gamertag2(nephew)

For Christmas i am thinking about getting another Xbox One (2) for my little nephew.

So my question is, can he still sign in to Gmaertag2 on Xbox2 if i am on Gamertag1 Xbox1? or will i need to buy a seperate live account as it's for 2 consoles gthat will be regularly used at the same time.

Also, if i download games on Xbox1, will he be able to download and play them on Xbox2, if both consoles have both gamertags on them?

    :)

I'm quite happy with the solutions MS has come up with and see family share as a great feature. If someone is wanting a totally offline console and has no internet then the One is obviously not for them but, aside from the occasional fishing trip to the
Sierras, I haven't gone 24hrs without checking in on the internet in quite some time.

So let me get this straight, you're happy they're restricting your freedom to utilise a product how you choose to use it, because it could have been even worse. Right? Isn't that a bit like saying, hey they've only killed me once.

  3. Family share?

    Hi there,

The current home sharing works as such: An account can mark 1 Xbox One as it's home console. The content purchased by that account (games and gold), are shared with all accounts on that console. The account can then be logged into another console connected
to Live and access their games and gold. My Home Xbox Setting on Xbox One | Share Your Xbox One

The limit is basically 2 consoles at any one time. Any more than that, and other accounts will have purchased a game/gold.

You can add your voice on the Xbox feedback site for a change to that: feedback.xbox.com

He can sign in with his gamertag on any console. However, if you share a Gold membership with him it will not transfer to the new console unless this console is set as the Home console and he is added to your Family.

He will not be able to play the games you purchase on the new console unless the new console is set as your Home console. When you purchase a game on your console and his is set as your Home the game will download to both consoles (just the Home console
if you purchase from a PC - you would have to manually start the download on yours). Be aware though that if you set his as your Home console no one on your console will be able to play your purchased DLC unless your tag is signed in.

    What exactly was Family Sharing

"Family Sharing as it is" is unfortunately none existent, Family Sharing is a different service to what use to be the Family Gold plan and both are none existent at this stage, i do like that the 1 Gold plan covers an XB1 in its entirety for every profile
    on that console,

me personally i would prefer the Family Sharing plan over the old Family Gold plan if it ever come down to choosing one or the other.

Family Sharing was to share digital games among 10 people,

Whoever is the adult in the account can change it, a child account can not.
