    Family Share Issue?!?


    Me and my brother are on the family sharing thing, with our 2 Xbox's. We have never had an issue before, but today I bought GTA 5, and he is unable to see it in his game library. All other games I have purchased on my Xbox are still there for him and he
    can play them just as always. And if he downloads something it instantly pops up on my Xbox to download like it should. I don't think this is a GTA problem, as I have tried other free apps and they won't pop up on his to download. Plus when I go to my Account
    on www.xbox.com it shows the conformation that I have indeed bought the game. But if I go to the game in the store on the website it still had a buy now option and wants me to pay for it again.

    So let me get this straight, you're happy they're restricting your freedom to utilise a product how you choose to use it, because it could have been even worse. Right? Isn't that a bit like saying, hey they've only killed me once.

    Hi there,

    The current home sharing works as such: An account can mark 1 Xbox One as it's home console. The content purchased by that account (games and gold), are shared with all accounts on that console. The account can then be logged into another console connected
    to Live and access their games and gold. http://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/games/my-home-xbox

    The limit is basically 2 consoles at any one time. Any more than that, and other accounts will have purchased a game/gold.

    Yes i am, I've done further research and discovered that because I got the newest Dashboard update last night that it doesn't work with him, he's in the preview program too, so maybe we just have to wait till he gets it.

    But I'm also confused as to why it's not showing up on xbox.com that I've "Already Purchased" it, I know my Credit Card was charged for it.

    Yes i am, I've done further research and discovered that because I got the newest Dashboard update last night that it doesn't work with him, he's in the preview program too, so maybe we just have to wait till he gets it.

    Yep. I have both my daughters using my old Xbox One X (which is setup as my home console) while I play on my Series X. Works a treat.

    Family Sharing Issues.

    1) If you have the console set as your Home and/or your account is signed in on the console at the same time as her, she can access your games. Since she is not subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate, she would not have access to Xcloud as that is only for subscribers.

    2) Make sure your account is signed out on the console when you're done using it. It shouldn't signed her out of Fortnite as long as she is definitely using her own profile.

    Yes, as long as you leave the One X as your Home console. That's what allows her to access your library/subscriptions.
