Family Settings On Xbox After Update

I've been having issues with Microsofts family settings and my Xbox one after the recent dashboard update, I'm a preview member. I have a family account set up between one adult and a child (the adult is set as the adult and the child set as child). I
have the internet settings set up to alowed list only and also

child cannot do any purtacheses/downloads without adult permission. The problem is this, when ever the child wants to go to a website that's not on the list while browsing the internet through the Xbox one, when clicking on ask for permission, the Xbox will
ask for the password for the childs account to be entered when browsing the internet instead of brining up the parents account and asking for the parents password. I've logged the child in and out multiple times, done a factory reset on the Xbox and still
the same issue. Is there something I'm missing on the family settings, or is there a setting I'm missing on
www.Xbox.com or is there a glitch? Does anyone know what to do to fix this?

Now this issue was fixed before but after the new dashboard update this has now reoccurred again. The purchasing restriction is working fine for both games and apps but the child can still download, but Youtube and Dailymotion can still be downloaded. Can
you please fix to make sure that Youtube and Dailymotion can't be downloaded without permission?

    :)

  3. How ***CAN*** I block the XBOX?

The Xbox has a built in Parental control feature:

Parental controls are divided into two groups: console controls and
    online safety and privacy
. Console controls are located in the Family Settings or Family Center area on your console (depending on your Xbox LIVE membership type).

    Turn on console controls

    1. On your console, go to Settings, then select Family.

Tip Not seeing Settings? You might be using an older version of the console software. See

Update your Xbox 360 console software
for information on how to update your console software.
    1. Select On to turn on Console Safety.
    2. Enter a 4-button pass code using your controller.
    3. Select Save and Exit.

It's part and parcel of being in the preview I'm afraid. I'd suggest taking your console out of the preview if you want these features to be operating all of the time.

This acctually concerns me, why does the preview program program have an affect on the family settings funching properly. Second is why hasn't any tried to find a solution even after the fact that the update fully launched. I'm a litle frustreated at this
because I went to both microsoft support and xbox support and nobody knew what to do and step up and tried to find a solution even after the conversation. This scares me because other parents could be having the same issue as in their kids could be looking
at websites the parents blocked but are able to view them because when they click on ask for permission, the system asks for the childs accouts passkey/password instead of asking which parent will give the child permission then asking for the parents passkey/password.

Xbox game sharing with multiple accounts

Ok so update I have got a family member we will call Family A that has the game I was looking for. The problem is when we do the home xbox thing it is still asking me for the person who has bought the game to be signed in, although I have removed friend
A's account from my Xbox and family A is not gamesharing with anyone at all and has never before. Any help?
your xbox has to be set to Family A's "home" console. That means Family A's profile needs to be downloaded onto your xbox. He doesn't have to be signed in after this is done the first time.

Screen time limits on Xbox not working

    Hello Sew_mama,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I can see that you're experiencing issues with screen time limits on Xbox. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue.

First, make sure that your Xbox console is up to date with the latest software updates. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Updates & downloads > Console update.

Next, check that the screen time limits are still set up correctly. You can do this by going to account.microsoft.com/family and signing in with your Microsoft account. From there, select your child's account and check the screen time limits.

If the screen time limits are still set up correctly, try resetting your Xbox console. To do this, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off. Then, turn it back on and check if the screen time limits are working.'

    Please see:

Troubleshooting the Xbox Family Settings app | Xbox Support

View activity reports and notifications in the Xbox Family Settings app | Xbox Support

Manage a member’s content in the Xbox Family Settings app | Xbox Support

If none of these steps work, you can contact Xbox support for further assistance. They will be able to provide more in-depth troubleshooting and help you resolve the issue.

We're looking forward to hearing from you. If there are any inquiries about our description or if there are any misconceptions, do reply to the post.

Splitting Xbox account and microsoft account

    Hey XDDriggles,

From what I understand you have a Xbox account (Child) which is linked to a Microsoft (Parent) account.

On your Parent/Microsoft account please try visiting Family Settings and Press on the Child > Manage Consent > After this try updating any details linked to your account.

    Thank you,
