Family settings is keeping me off my account!

Had this problem for a while now. Tried resetting passwords and all kinds of things but nothing works as I have forgotten my fathers e-mail password and it is a very old e-mail which he does not remember. Also get a error code when trying to sign in! Also,
will be turning 18 this year so will that change anything? Can I get rid of family settings the?

Any help is appreciated!

Xbox new family

My account is technically a child's account since im 17 now. When i made my account years ago and it asked for a parent's account my friend just put his in so he is the only one that can change my account settings. Well now a few years later i don't know
him since I moved and i am unable to change my settings to allow me to purchase content on my new xbox one. My father tried making a separate account and add me to the family. The problem is he cant because i'm part of my old friend's family and i have no
way of contacting him to take me off of his family. How to i get off of his family so my father can add me.

My account is a stand alone adult account. Family settings are off always have been.

I know how frustrating this is, but the best way to resolve this issue right now is to answer the recovery forms on
Recover your account if you know your father's email. If you've filled things up and left no blanks, you'll receive an issue / account recovery number which you'll need to give to support so
they can reset your father's password and send the email to you for resetting it.

Once that's done, you'll be able to sign in on his account and accept any terms of use that show up. Once you turn 18 too, you'll be able to promote your account into an adult one and get rid of the restrictions on your account too.

Note: If you do not know what your father's parental email is, I suggest you contact support and ask them if they can see what your parental email is. They have tools that can help you with this.
